Rosie and her partner, Jack Fischer’s, song "I'd Like To Help You Out,” (which way did you come in?), won The Nashville Network's (first) Country Songwriting Contest in 1997, beating out 12,600 entries! They were flown to Nashville, TN where their song was recorded at Emerald Studios. It was performed by Regina Leigh on Prime Time Country, and Rosie and Jack were interviewed by Gary Chapman. It was one of the first and only times Rosie was ever at a loss for words. This same song went on to win several other contests including the Unisong Contest first place in 1998. "Let's Do Love,” by Rosie and Jack won a merit award in Unisong's Contest as well. Rosie and Jack also won first place in the story lyric contest for Janet Fisher's Goodnight Music website for “A Little Time To Heal.”
Rosie has written articles for the Contra Costa Times Travel Section including: Cruise Ship Excursions: ship vs own arrangements (February 19, 2008); Signposts (November 2, 2008); Danville Duo Zip Through Costa Rica (January 18, 2009). She has also authored articles in Early Years, Instructor Children's Playmate,Hospital Gift Store Management Magazine, Contra Costa Woman, Children's Highlights, Options, and most prolifically, The Lion (representing Lions Clubs International).
